Last week I was on a discord call with some of my friends like usual when one received a twitch drop for a new game called Valorant. I had never heard of it before so i watched Shroud playing against the game devs. I was intrigued and continued to watch more and more videos about this game. Immediately I created a riot games account and opened a stream on twitch to recieve the game. It only took a couple hours to get it. The fact this game is only 7GB and free to play are fantastic. It's also low-end PC friendly which is handy since i have a laptop with an i3 core. Now, I am a console player, but Valorant only supports keyboard and mouse. This frustrated me immensely the first few days but I'm slowly improving my aim and gamesense so that I can give myself the upperhand in a gunfight. There's a lot of strategy involved in this game, and countless amounts of peeking spots, ability combinations and players to come up against. This keeps each match fresh and new, whether you win or lose not being important. Valorant places players on teams of 6 to face off in a best of 25 rounds of combat. 12 rounds of a team attacking and the other defending, then another 12 of the roles being reversed. If the teams are tied at the end of the 24th round, it goes to sudden death where whoever wins the last round takes the victory. The game also has a very harsh punishment system for leaving ongoing matches with long bans in place to deter players for leaving. There's a reporting option for leaving the game/afk which can lengthen the ban. Talking about aiming, it's even harder for me to learn keyboard and mouse when the crosshair will lie to you most of the time. The spray on guns is very inconsistent especially if you are moving, adjusting your aim or firing for a long amount of time. I've had a lot of fun playing this game for the past week and I would definitely recommend opening a stream so that you are able to play this game yourself.
